East China School District staff recognizes that Early Childhood Education encompasses pre-kindergarten through second grade. Each child is viewed as a unique person with individual patterns of growth and development.
We believe that a quality early childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children. It promotes the physical, social/emotional, aesthetic, cognitive, and language development of young children while accepting differences in individual learning styles, interests, and abilities. In recognition of these differences, we will provide opportunities for children to make choices and participate in hands-on activities, exploration, experimentation and problem solving.
We believe an open and cooperative relationship between home, school and community supports the well-being of young children. This relationship is an integral, essential element of our early childhood program. The foundation for future learning is established in early childhood, therefore, all children will be provided with the opportunity to experience success as we foster a life-long love of learning.
