Performing Arts Center

The East China School District Performing Arts Center is a state-of-the-art performance facility that supports the artistic needs of the East China School District and presents cultural opportunities for the citizens of the blue water community. We are pleased to offer a calendar with a wide variety of music, theatre, and dance performances that showcase the various performance groups within our district and community. Although the ECSD Performing Arts Center operates as part of the District, we open our facility to outside renters for additional rehearsals, performances, and corporate presentations. Please search the rest of our site for technical specs for the facility, events scheduled, or to contact us for further information and to learn about renting the facility to produce your own event.

The East China Performing Arts Center, locally referred to as the PAC, has hosted over 2,800 events since opening almost a decade ago. Our primary goal is to strive to provide the most supportive environment to showcase our district theatre, band, and choir students and help them excel in their areas of performance and study of the arts. We are fortunate to be able to also offer performances of our many community groups such as the St.Clair Theatre Guild, East China Community Band, Interfaith Choir, and St.Clair Singers. The PAC also works hard to secure grants and partner with other organizations to be able to bring professional performances to our community. Previous artists have included the Michigan Opera Theatre, Motor City Brass Band, Sidewalk Prophets, Citizen Way, Matt Mahr, Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, Measure For Measure, Three Men And A Tenor, Comic Opera Guild, Dodwroth Saxhorn Band, Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings, The Chenille Sisters, and our continuing annual presentation of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. There has even been a wedding officiated on stage by our very own Performing Arts Center Manager. We are very proud of the achievements of our students, staff, and community, and will continue to work tirelessly to provide the best venue possible to support their endeavors.
