Dr. Skalka is a graduate of Bucknell University, Central Connecticut State University, and The University of Michigan. Prior to serving as Superintendent in the East China School District, he taught high school mathematics, was a high school assistant principal, high school principal, and assistant superintendent. His professional highlights include participation in a Salzburg Seminar for Public Policy in Salzburg, Austria and the US Department of State Fulbright Exchange Program, spending six weeks at Churston-Ferrers Grammar School in Brixham, England.
Dr. Skalka is most proud of his family. His wife Stacy, son Quinn, and daughter Emily.
