East China School District K-2 parents,
Michigan's Early Literacy and Mathematics Benchmark Assessments are short, online assessments that are fully aligned to Michigan's academic standards, and may be used by teachers as one measure of student growth.
These Early Literacy and Mathematics Benchmark Assessments (also referred to as the K-2’s) were developed in cooperation with Michigan educators beginning with item writing and continuing through field-test data review. The benchmark assessments currently offered by Michigan are for students in Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade, in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. These will subsequently be given to ECSD K-2 students within the month of May, 2017.
If there are any questions regarding these K-2 Early Literacy and Mathematics Benchmarks, please contact your child’s Principal. Thank you for all you do to support the East China School District, our students and our community.
