Palms Elementary School

Mrs. Schindler's kindergarten class drew "one line" pictures like Pablo Picasso taking his advice that "every child is an artist!". Then they labeled their pictures to give them simple titles. They also had some fun and played some halloween themed math games like, "Boo Bump" to strengthen their number sense in recognizing greater than and less than numbers, and practicing counting onward by using two dice. Mrs. Schindler's student teacher, Ms. Hogan, taught a lesson on "equal". She brought in apples to sort into groups. Then they had a special apple snack!
