Story Champs is an evidence-based oral language program designed to build young children’s vocabulary, comprehension, and storytelling skills. In a kindergarten classroom, teachers use structured story cards, visual icons, and guided practice to help students retell and create stories with clear characters, setting, problem, and solution. Through repeated exposure to new words (Sparkle words) in meaningful contexts, interactive discussions, and partner retells, children strengthen vocabulary, sentence structure, and overall language development in a fun, supportive way.
